1200 Beetle Deluxe
Info
It’s not every day that we see a Beetle advertised for sale that actually appears to be a good deal. This 1975 Beetle popped up for sale (8-5-24) on Donedeal at just €1,775.
Now, the price wasn’t the good deal so much but what was good was the overall condition of the Beetle. The ad stated it was a “Genuine Barn find. One owner from new. Irish Glass fitted.” and looking at the photos it did seem to be untouched, rough but untouched. The seats didn’t look too worn out and the Beetle came with its original keys, including the glovebox key which is always a good sign. Despite needing a full restoration, this Beetle had surprisingly good gutters which as we all know is a weak point for Beetles so perhaps this was genuinely stored indoors.
As you would expect, this Beetle didn’t stay online for too long, less than a day I believe so hopefully the new owner will get in touch and let us know how their new project is going. We wish them all the luck and know they have an excellent base to start a restoration.
This 1975 1200 Beetle Deluxe was assembled in Dublin, painted Senegal Red (L31A) and then sent to Brady’s of Cavan to be sold. The first owner was in Cavan hence the ID registration, which it received on February 20th 1975.
