We were contacted recently by someone who is looking for this Beetle or any information about it. It was his friend’s father’s old Beetle, his first car in fact so as you can imagine, there is a lot of sentimental value there. It’s not showing as having been taxed after 1993 so it may have not made it that far but there is always the chance that it is sitting in someone’s barn or garage waiting to be restored.
Being a 1970 Beetle that was registered in Limerick City (TI) it’s possible that this was sold from The Service Garage on Mulgrave Street in Limerick.
I asked if there was any information on this Beetle and I was told that the owner was pulled over by a Garda one night and the very same Garda ended up buying the Beetle from him! So you see, even long since scrapped Beetles have great stories to tell!!!!!!
So, if you know anything about MTI 320 please get in touch so we can help reunite this Beetle with its once very proud owner, or if nothing else, maybe let them know what happened to it.
