People often tell us that they would love to see their family’s old VW featured on the Beetle.ie Census but they only have a partial photo of the VW but we welcome all images! We have previously added just number plates from old VWs before, knowing they are scrapped but every image, every story, every snippet of information helps to build Beetle.ie, Ireland’s only register of classic aircooled VWs.
This image shows only the rear of a 6 volt Beetle. We can see that the owner has added additional indicators for safety reasons as the semaphores alone were never the visible to other drivers. This January 1960 Dublin registered Beetle has a Denis Mahony of Glasnevin dealer sticker in the rear window which is really cool to see and it proves that even the smallest image can provide lots of information for us VW enthusiasts!
