To add to the overall winter feel, Darren O’Rourke of the Original Irish Aircooled VW Facebook group submitted this great shot of a Dublin registered 1973 Type 3 Variant in the snow. The Marina Blue (L54D) Variant looks to be handling the snow well thanks to the larger and heavier Type 3 engine over the rear wheels. Speaking of wheels, this Squareback is wearing a set of Marathon wheels including the rare and hard to find centre caps.
