Karmann Ghia Convertible

There is very little known about this Karmann Ghia other than it was photographed at the Kilcommon Festival in Tipperary. It was registered in Cork in the early 1990s after being imported into Ireland. The 1200cc engine had been replaced and its place was a 1600cc motor. The Ruby Red (L456) paint looked fantastic but then again, any colour is going to look good on a Karmann Ghia, especially an early one like this 1963 model.
This Ghia seems to have just vanished form the VW scene in Ireland but hopefully it will make a return to the tarmac one day.
