We absolutely love this Split Screen that long-time aircooled Volkswagen enthusiast Barry just added to the Beetle.ie Census. It’s a gorgeous Split that Barry has been working hard at to bring back to life. I was lucky enough to see this in the metal recently and I was blown away by how solid it is, as well as the efforts Barry is going to in order to preserve its patina but still making it driveable in Ireland.
Barry: “This is my 1961 Turkis VW Microbus. First registered in Nevada USA to Mr. Duncan S Parker. Sometime later the Bus was given a Jersey look with cut rear wheel arches, shagpile carpet and a metallic brown with gold accents paint job. Sometime in the 1990’s it was bought by a guy in New York who stored the Bus until I bought it in 2019 and shipped it to Ireland.”
