Model information

1300 Beetle Deluxe

Info

This fantastically bright and vibrant Beetle is the pride & joy of Gerry Clancy. We know Gerry’s brother John who is a great supporter of Beetle.ie and is anxiously waiting for our book to be published.

This Beetle is a 1969 1300 Beetle, a UK delivered model originally. It found its way across the water to Ireland, specifically, a new home in Kildare. The Beetle was restored by a man who worked in a Volkswagen dealership in New York for many years so it’s fair to say that he knows Beetles inside and out.

Gerry’s Beetle is loaded with accessories such as the pop out side windows, front and rear stone guards on the wing bottoms, door and bonnet handle finger plates, rear mudflaps, bumper overriders, chrome trim on the two vent engine lid as well as the rear window vents and a badge bar, complete with an array of period correct badges.

Gerry is very happy with his Beetle and enjoys taking it out on many club runs and also to shows. As you can imagine, this Beetle is pampered so only sees dry days and stays tucked up in the dry garage for the rest of the time.
