Model information

Split Window Beetle Deluxe

Info

This 1952 car, registered in Cork County is a rare sighting of an Irish assembled Split Window Beetle. Sporting one-piece door windows, it’s a pre-opening-quarterlight car and it is wearing the early ribbed bumpers too. The overriders on those bumpers denote the car is a Deluxe model.

The EIR plate on the rear bumper denotes it was taken overseas at some stage. The number plate is partially obscured but a little detective work around registration series and the possible date of the car left only one possibility for the first two letters. The following number can be made out with some very close inspection. These are the lengths we at Beetle.ie go to, to give the best possible information for our readers!!
