This Beetle and an attached caravan were won in an Knorr soup competition in 1973 by a lady in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. Hence the YIP Kilkenny reg. Over the years the caravan has been sold on but the Beetle still has the dealer-fit tow bar it would have had when it was won.
The car is currently in dry-storage awaiting a bit of a spruce up but was photographed by Trevor Brady at the Inistioge Vintage Rally back in 2001.
Thanks for sending it in, great back story for any Beetle!!
