This Beetle and an attached caravan were won in an Knorr soup competition in 1973 by a lady in Graiguenamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, hence the YIP Kilkenny reg. Over the years the caravan has been sold on but the Beetle still has the dealer-fit tow bar that was fitted when it was won.
The car is currently in dry-storage awaiting a bit of a spruce up but was photographed by Trevor Brady at the Inistioge Vintage Rally back in 2001 and again at the Ballyroan Vintage Rally in 2008.
