Oh dear! I think it’s fair to say that this 1962 Beetle is smidgen too far gone to save! Even the most passionate of enthusiasts would struggle to justify this restoration.
Parked up in this spot since the early 1990’s it has sat exposed to the elements which has done nothing but bad for the car’s metal. Someone has jumped on the roof which caused water to pool there and that’s why there is a large rust hole in that section.
The rear section of the driver’s side gutter is completely rusted away and there’s not much left of the floor. The upside is that this ’62 offered up quite a lot of parts for another black ’62 that is under restoration.
