Carlow was the destination of this Beetle when it rolled off the Naas Road production line and was signed off for delivery. It was then sold off in October 1977 to its first owner in Waterford which makes this one of the last Irish built Beetles to be sold.
The Dakota Beige Beetle has remained exactly as MDL intended and looked virtually flawless when we spotted it at the Limerick Classic Car Show. The simple accessories of VW logo mudflaps, stone guards and a rear vent trim really work to set it apart from other stock Beetles but it still looks factory.
