1300S Beetle and Power Pack Beetle

An original Irish registered 1973 1300S or Power Pack Beetle was a rare sight back in 1989 when this photo was taken on O’Curry Street in Limerick City and it’s even rarer now. This 1300S was probably sold from Spooner’s VW Dealership in Roscrea, County Tipperary but we are not 100% on that. We are looking for more information to confirm that.
At some point it made its way to Limerick where it was photographed. The Lemmerz sports wheels had long since gone and in their place was a set of stock steel rims with VW logo hubcaps.
And that’s as far as our known information goes on this rare special edition Beetle.
