25th September 2018: Here’s one I haven’t seen for years. I took this photo at a very wet Drimoleague show back in the late 1990’s. Myself and some of the Southern Volks Folks members headed to the County Cork town for a really nice show. Cormac Reddy from Southern Volks Folks won an award with his 1303 Beetle Cabriolet.
Has anyone seen this February 1973 registered 1200 Beetle lately? Is it still going strong?
31st July 2019: Overnight we received this update from a good friend of Beetle.ie: I believe that SZT494 subsequently suffered an engine fire which consumed the back half. It was owned for a period by the great Paddy O’Callaghan. I think that the chassis still survives in Cork.
