I bought this Beetle a few years ago from a friend of mine. I knew about it for years and the owner would buy a car and run it into the ground but I watched this car and told him I wanted it if he wanted to sell it. He decided to move it on so I bought it straight away.
The engine is the original 1600cc unit as is the AS code gearbox so it’s a nice car to drive and has enough power to stay up with traffic.
I bought a set of EMPI rims but didn’t keep the original GT rims. I might look for a set to bring the car back to original look.
