We were lucky to be able to have a close look at this 1973 Beetle recently when it was in VW Spares for a service and some general maintenance work. Unlike many original Irish registered Beetles that were assembled in Ireland, this 1200 Beetle Deluxe was one of a number of Beetles brought in by MDL already fully assembled due to the local demand outstripping supply from the small Dublin assembly line.
This ’73 Beetle has been fully restored and finished in its original shade of Sumatra Green (L61B) bringing it right back to March 1973 when it left its selling dealer which was Spooner’s of Roscrea.
