Daithi Ramsay sent in this photo from their family album. The photos shows Daithi and his brother in the 1970s. They are standing beside a 1971 Beetle that was owned by a family member.
The family member in question was May Murray, their mother’s aunt. May, and her Beetle, were from Letterkenny in County Donegal. The 1200cc Beetle was registered in September 1971 so would have been Texas Yellow.
Daithi said he has fond memories of this Beetle and this photo brought it all back to him; “Me and my brother in the 70s with my mammy’s aunt’s beetle which we’d borrowed to use while on holiday.”
