If you’ve ever seen this particular Beetle or any other Sumatra Green Beetle in the sunshine then you’ll know just how amazing they look.
VW had an unbelievable ability to create the most vibrant colour ranges for the Beetle. For example, colours like Tomato Red (L30M), Lofoten Green (L61H), Sea Blue (L360), Ruby Red (L456) just come alive in the sunshine. There are so many more colours that pop in the solar rays but today we’re looking at this Sumatra Green (L61B) Beetle that we photographed at both the Limerick Show and the Charleville Show.
What really helps this 1973 1200 Beetle Deluxe is the fact that the chrome matches the paintwork in terms of quality. The owner has also added some nice touches in terms of chrome accessories such as the finger plates, front and rear stone guards, bumper overriders, rear window vent trim, bonnet vent trim, bonnet handle trim, beauty rings on the wheels and chrome fog lights. The owner has also fitted raised silver digit number plates which carry on the theme perfectly. The VW logo mudflaps are a nice addition.
To the owner of this Cork registered beauty, we congratulate you on a flawless restoration and meticulous upkeep because this Beetle is always immaculate no matter what show we see it at.
