MEI 722 is an original Irish assembled Beetle. The 1200 Deluxe model was assembled in Dublin in October 1972 before being sent to Sligo to be sold. The new owner of this Texas Yellow (L10B) Beetle registered their new purchase on November 11th 1972 in Sligo, hence the EI registration. This photo was taken in George Campbell’s Camvolks workshop in Clane, County Kildare in the early 1990s.
