LZX-709 is a very tidy looking 1971 Beetle. This Kerry registered Beetle was restored in 2000 and was done to a very high standard. This Beetle was originally registered in Northern Ireland but was imported to Southern Ireland and registered in Kerry in 1976.
The metallic paint, Sprintstar rims, Kamei front spoiler and highback seats make it stand out from the crowd.
UPDATE 19-03-2021: We have received some more information about this Beetle which will help to build a better history file for this beautiful Bug.
“This Beetle had a body-off restoration in 2000 with new wings, doors, bonnet, floor pans etc. The old 1200cc engine was replaced with a 1641cc engine that was fitted with twin Solex/Kadron carbs. It was painted Gemini Blue L96E. The wheel of choice were Sprintstars and then the Kamei front spoiler was fitted. It was sold to Dublin in around 2006.”
