5th June 2019: Another Mountbellew Show find by Joe Dempsey was this 1977 Beetle. It was registered on May 16th 1977 so is one of the last batch of Beetles manufactured and sold in Ireland.
At some point in its long life it was painted green but has since been repainted metallic blue. It also had the EMPI 8 rims fitted as well as the towbar. The one-piece windows may be a remnant of it’s more modified past life. If you can shed any light on this car please let us know and we will update this listing.
31st July 2019: Another photo submitted to Beetle.ie, again from Mountbellew. We love the new (to us) trailer and Honda. What an eye catching display. Well done to the owner.
28th December 2022: Some fresh info was sent in by Kevin Mulligan. Kevin mentioned that LZR 331 was restored in 2012 and the trailer was built in 2017. He also mentioned that the combo are now located in Knockcroghery, County Roscommon.
