Info

Keith Nolan has an amazing archive of photographs and thankfully Keith is a great supporter of the Beetle.ie project so he has been submitting photos that contain aircooled Volkswagens, be they in the centre of the shot or as in this case, off to the side. The main photo here contains two Beetles VIO 480 and KZO 576 but for this listing we’re focussing on KZO 576.

The subject of this photo may have been of the now demolished Fitzwilton House in Dublin but our attention is drawn to the cars parked in the car park.

KZO 576 was a November 1968 Dublin registered Beetle, a 1200 Deluxe model that was assembled on the Naas Road. It’s hard to make out the colour as it is a black and white photo but I would take a chance and say that it could be Royal Red (L30A)

Keep an eye out for more of Keith’s fantastic period photographs on the Beetle.ie Census but if you get time, why not pop over onto his Facebook page; www.facebook.com/KeithNolanPhotographer
