Thanks to JP Teahan for submitting his 1964 Beetle. From what we can see it was originally sold from the Service Garage in Limerick in early 1964 and registered in Limerick City (TI). It left the MDL plant finished in L41 Black and although it has changed a little over the years the basics remain the same. The red (4 stud) wheels, steel sliding sunroof and lowered stance really make this Beetle stand out from the crowd. The 1600cc engine that sits out the back now will help to push this Beetle along at a quicker pace than the 1200cc unit that powered it in 1964.
