CZD 198 was a 1200 Deluxe Beetle first registered in Dublin in May 1962. It was photographed here parked along the roadside, somewhere in Dublin city. It looks typical of many thousands of other Irish Beetles being used as economical, reliable daily transport. Of course it was nothing remarkable in its day but now it is something any modern-day Irish VW enthusiast would be thrilled to have in their collection.
Oh to have a time machine! I’d love to just sit on a street bench and watch all the air-cooled VWs going about their business!
