1302S Beetle and Custom

These photos were taken in Mosney or Trim back in the 1990’s. This October 1971 registered 1302S Beetle had been mildly customised. The fresh metallic blue paint, Centreline rims and tinted glass worked well together.
Looking at it in more detail you can see quite a few mods that are subtle enough to ignore but without them the look would not be achieved. Things like the removal of the chrome side trim, colour coding of the bumpers and the side mirrors. The early 60’s rear lights and engine lid were a nice touch. The ragtop, black bonnet and wing bra as well as the lowered suspension added to the visual impact.
I’m not sure what happened to that Beetle but somebody put a huge amount of time, thought and effort into creating a cool ride.
**UPDATE**
This car belongs to Derek Burock and is still living with Derek all these tears later. Its currently undergoing a restoration so it will hit the road again at some stage.
