Spotted on DoneDeal in recent times was this GT Beetle. This Beetle is a low registration number so It looks like it may have been imported into Ireland at sometime in the 1990s.
We’re not sure if this GT Beetle/1300S was restored and customised in Ireland or in the UK but it’s been done with driveability in mind, thanks to the wider wheels, sports seats, sports steering wheel and one piece windows. We love the colour coded bumpers and engine lid vent cover, mixed with the dechromed body. The interior has received new carpets, door cards and an under dash shelf as well as chrome window winder handles and pedal covers.
The only thing we would advise the current or new owner to do as a matter of urgency would be to remove the fuel filter from the engine bay as this is a major fire hazard.
