We’ve seen this Karmann Beetle Cabriolet at a number of events over the last number of years and it always grabs our attention. It’s a beautifully presented example of a Karmann Beetle Cabriolet, with just a few subtle upgrades to make it more enjoyable to drive such as the aftermarket highback front seats. The twin carb’d engine for one will definitely make this a fun machine to pilot. The EMPI 8 Spoke rims and the spotlights add a little something to the exterior and the fact that this is a rare RHD Karmann is a definite bonus.
These photos were taken at the Limerick Show 2018 meeting point for the cruise into the show as well as at Martin Murray’s 2019 Eirespares VW Show in Monard, County Tipperary.
This particular Cabriolet was built in Osnabrück back in late August 1972 and registered not long after that in September 1972.
