Thanks to Dave Curran for submitting this photo to the Beetle.ie Census. The Wicklow registered Beetle is registered as a 1969 although it has all the hallmarks of a 1967 Beetle.
According to one of the comments when Dave posted this photo on the Original Irish Aircooled VW facebook page was that this Beetle has not been taxed since 1993 which is never a good sign but thankfully the next comment was a positive one as the poster noted that this Beetle was undergoing a restoration and it is still in Wicklow. The restoration is being done as and when the owner can get to it. We wish them all the best and look forward to seeing this Beetle on the roads of Wicklow very soon or perhaps, at a classic car show.
