Back in 2009 this 1969 Beetle appeared at Martin Murray’s Eirespares Show in Monard, County Tipperary. Originally a French registered Beetle, it was a real oddity for the Irish market as it came with a 1500cc engine, had a steel sliding sunroof and it was automatic. Obviously being a French import it was left hand drive.
Very little is known of this Beetle or even if it’s still around. It looked like a very original car so hopefully someone is enjoying it or perhaps it is being stored, awaiting a full restoration. Do you know where 69-C-838 is?
