I really like the colour Manila Green on Beetles, especially on perfectly restored examples. This Tipperary South registered Beetle was seen at Martin Murray’s Eirespares VW Show in July 2019 which was held in Monard, County Tipperary.
This Beetle was originally sold from Dillon’s VW dealers in Clonmel in January 1977 and has stayed in the Clonmel area for over 40 years. It has been restored to stock with the only deviation being the addition of wider 5.5″ chrome steel rims but they really suit the look of this Beetle. The original style number plates are a nice touch and it’s attention to detail like this that really makes a car stand out form the crowd, in fact, it won a prize at the show but I believe the owner had just left. If you know the owner please let them know they are driving a show winning Beetle!
