Type 2 Bay Window Double Cab

This hard working 1978 Bay Window Double Cab Pickup was photographed in the early 1990s outside the Dublin fruit and vegetable market. We know very little about this Type 2 other than it had worked hard in its short life and certainly earned its keep carrying the Christmas trees its owner was selling. We can see that rust had taken hold in the dropsides and once it got in there, many were seen as uneconomical to repair so perhaps this Bay Window went the same way and was scrapped. All we know is that it didn’t survive much longer after this photo was taken.
