Model information
Type 2 Bay Window Camper
Info
“Here I have a 1972, T2 Bay Window Crossover model, Devon Moonraker camper. It was imported into Ireland back in 1976 when it received the current cork registration 6373 ZB. This Bay Window spent much of its time between Douglas and Fermoy in County Cork until for some reason it got parked in a shed in 1986, where it remained until 2015. When I happened to come across it for sale, I knew it wouldn’t hang around too long so I was straight on it.
The underside was caked in a couple of inches of mud, which must have preserved it as the chassis is perfect. The top side had a good few rust spots when the layers of brushed on paint were removed.
The interior is still completely original with the curtains, seat cushions and headliner still perfect. It still even has the original Devon delph in place.
The camper is currently undergoing a full restoration and I’m hoping to complete soon.”
