We’re not sure of the exact year that this photo was taken but at a guess I would say early 1990’s.
This 1200 Beetle is finished in what we think is Havana Brown but it’s hard to tell. We also think that from the front it looks black! We can only assume that at some point it saw a paint gun because it started life as an Atlas White Beetle.
It has a January 1977 Dublin registration although the Beetle left MDL and was delivered to PMPA in Dundalk. That’s not unusual either as the first owner may have bought it there or perhaps a Dublin dealer sent out an inter-dealer request for a Beetle and PMPA Dundalk agreed to sell it to them unregistered. We can’t be sure but what we do know is that apart from the repaint, it was looking very original.
