Normally it’s the son who follows in their father’s footsteps but not in this case.
My Dad bought this car about ten years ago. He never had a VW in his youth but fell in love with them after going from show to show in my one. When this car came up for sale he jumped at the chance and bought it. The car was first registered by VW Ireland on the Long Mile Road in Dublin where it was used as a demo for a year then it headed to Donegal where a priest owned it for a few years. There was a few more owners on the log book before my father bought it. When the car was restored it was painted it its original Maya Gold paint and he also fitted some accessories such as Bosch spot lights, Kamei front spoiler, Kamei deck lid vent cover to name a few.
