1200N Base Model Beetle

We recently viewed this Beetle while collecting another Beetle in September of 2022. The 1977 Beetle belonged to an enthusiast who modified it back in the day but it has not been on the road since 2002. Thankfully the storage was dry and as a result this Beetle is in excellent condition.
The 1200N Base Model Beetle left MDL in Dublin in October 1977 bound for Andrew Dillon & Sons in Clonmel. The Beetle may have been sold in October but the Dakota Beige (L13A) Beetle was not registered with its Tipperary South registration number until December of 1977. Was it on the forecourt or was this one on a For Reg number plate for two months? We’ll never know but anything is possible.
This Beetle is soon to be awakened from its long term slumber and it will see the Irish roads once more which is great to see. Best of luck to the new owner.
