John Knightly from Kerry sent in these old photos of 2386 ZE, taken some time during the 90s in Castleisland, Co. Kerry. It’s a 1972 Dublin reg car so has obviously moved about a bit during its life. Along the way it has picked up a few accessories including a roofrack, spot lamps, rear grille trim, trim rings on the wheels, gravel guards and Wolfsburg logo mudflaps on the back. It also has a DIY-looking tow-bar fitted.
I happened to be in Tesco recently and amongst a stand of Irish-made greeting cards, what caught my eye but this lovely one featuring 2386 ZE, in pride of place!! What a great piece of history for the owners!
