This Beetle was not part of a main photo that was submitted to us but we just can’t leave any old VeeDub behind so we cropped the photo to feature just 1198 ZO
This photo was taken at the 1993 Kilcommon Festival in Tipperary which, for a few years anyway, was VW heaven when the village would fill with aircooled Volkswagens of all sorts for one weekend of fun. There was a local festival on and the VWs were only a small part of it but combined, the atmosphere and pure craic was just unbelievable.
Our little 1974 Beetle here was a 1200 Deluxe model, finished in Senegal Red (L31A) and was parked at Kilcommon School where many VW enthusiasts were allowed to camp over the weekend.
