Eamon O’Grady was hot on the lens again as this Karmann Ghia was snapped & submitted by Eamon. As a massive fan of Karmann Ghias I just think they are the most beautifully designed sports car of their day. Ok, the performance didn’t match the looks but when they looked this good who cares!!!!
This Karmann Ghia was imported from the US and was first registered in Galway. ZV 35687 looks to be finished in Bahia Red (L30E) and rolls on Porsche Fuch style rims. The later Karmann Ghia Cabriolets featured a fold away rear glass window which always makes people stop and stare. This particular Karmann Ghia looks to be fully restored both inside and out. The engine lid luggage rack is a nice period accessory.
