This May ’74 Tipperary North registered Beetle had a lot of work done to it by a previous owner including Centreline wheels, one piece windows, woodrim steering wheel, blade bumpers, new carpets and of course that striking metallic purple repaint. It attended 3 of the Beetles reunion shows in Limerick but we don’t recall seeing it at any other shows since.
In 1995 it came into Pat Gleeson’s Fiat Garage in Limerick but after it was sold it wasn’t seen in Limerick or Tipperary. I’m sure whomever bought it, did so because they loved the look and hopefully maintained it. Is it dead or alive? You tell us!
