This is one of the funniest photos I’ve seen in a while. Andy Kelly thought we would get a giggle out of it and we certainly did!
The Beetle on the left looks like it’s a Havana Brown (LD8A) Beetle. The EDI 655 registration number would date it back to 1968, although Havana Brown wasn’t an option back then so perhaps this was a later repaint. The Beetle on the right looks like it is also wearing the same registration number but we cannot be sure. Some people have said that it may be a Northern Ireland registration number EOI 655 but the photo is not clear enough to confirm.
No matter what, this is an amazing coincidence to have two Beetles wearing what looks like the same number.
