Tropical Green (L60A) is not a very common colour here in Ireland but then again, it’s not too far removed from Sumatra Green (L60B) which we did have in 1971 and 1972.
Joseph Purfield is the man responsible for submitting these photos of this UK import Beetle. This 1300cc 1303 Beetle was first registered in the UK in April of 1974, the 17th to be exact however we’re not sure when it came to Ireland but we do know it was first registered in Wexford.
The Beetle looks to be in excellent condition and the wider than stock EMPI style 8 spoke rims really work with the rounded 1303 body. Apart from the addition of the wheels, this 1303 looks to be completely stock.
