1200 Beetle and 1303 Karmann Cabriolet

My first car in 1978 was a 1971 T1 Sapphire Blue Beetle (Reg No 4628ZA) and I regret the day that I sold it. In 2007 I bought a 1979 1303 Cabriolet in London complete with a history file and the car is slightly unusual. The car was sold new in 1979 in Italy (Reg FG 219874) with a 1200 engine, which was unusual for a 1303 model, I have a copy of the original Italian registration documents which prove this. The car was subsequently exported to the UK in 1982 and converted to RHD (Reg No WMY 373Y). I’ve used the car for classic car shows and afternoon drive here and there for 10 years and in 2017 I gave the car a minor restoration as it was in good condition as can be seen from the photos and it is currently a joy to drive and I hope to have the car for many years to come.
