Model information
Oval Window Beetle Deluxe
Info
Partholan Joyce-Fenlon saw this photo in a local newspaper back in June 2020 and has very kindly shared this with us here at Beetle.ie
From what Partholan remembers from the caption, these two men were brothers and were either prominent players in the GAA or in a showband. Partholan isn’t 100% sure so perhaps someone might recognise them or remember the photo from when it was in print and more importantly, remember the caption that was under the photo.
The Beetle is, or was, an Irish assembled Oval Window Deluxe Beetle. As is often the case with black and white photos, it’s very difficult to confirm the colour of this Beetle but we would hazard a guess at the colour being Light Beige (L275). What we do know is that this 1954 Oval Beetle was sold to its first owner in County Cork, hence the ZT registration.
