XZU 539 was an early 1970 Fastback that our own Trev spotted on an old RTE news report from 1973.
Fastbacks were still being assembled by MDL in 1970 so this would be a rare car now if it had survived, being an Irish assembled Type 3. The Fastback has a number of accessories like a set of rear mudlfaps and the bumper trim. Looking at the Fastback in this shot, you can see that it was quite substantial in size compared to other cars of the time.
