1200 Beetle and Beetle Deluxe

1973 Irish registered Texas yellow Beetle purchased in 2015 as a running restoration project. This is a first restoration tackled by the cars owners themselves and it has delivered a very steep learning curve . It has required welding to the whole bottom 6” of the car, and has also received a complete new floorpan. As the car is not fully complete yet we will update photos of the progress to give some idea of the work that’s being involved over a 3 1/2 year period to get this car back to as new original condition.
And yes, that’s a Beetle wrapped in plastic wrapping! In this Irish climate they had to protect it on its journeys to and from the bodyshop.
We can’t wait to see this project develop.

*Update 19/02/19: We received this update photo from the owner this morning. If the rest of the car is anything like this then we have an immaculate Beetle about to hit the Irish roads once more. Keep up the good work!
