Type 2 Split Window Minibus

XZJ 556 was a 1967 Split Window Minibus. The June ’67 registered Splittie was fitted with Deluxe bumpers as an option when it was assembled in MDL’s Naas Road plant. Judging by the IRL stickers, this Split Bus must have been used outside of Ireland. It’s hard to make out the colours from the black and white photo but it looks like it could have been Ruby Red (L456) under Pearl White (L87) but it’s only a guess.
