1300 Beetle and Custom

This was a VERY distinctive Beetle back in the early ’00s. A late ’69 Dublin reg car, it was owned by a chap called Barry from Raheny and had a unique wave/surf pattern painted on the side as the colour changed from dark blue on top to white along the bottom. It featured other custom touches such as aftermarket tail lamps, peep mirrors, one-piece windows, EMPI 8-spoke wheels and a side-exit exhaust.
It cropped up again in 2017 for sale at an autojumble in Cookstown looking very much down-at-heel. Hopefully someone will help it back onto the road again.
