PMI 831 is an original Havana Brown 1200L Deluxe Beetle saved from a long stint in a field and placed into a nice dry workshop in Waterford. Its saviour started to restore it, replacing the original (rotten!) floorpans with new ones. Sadly though, his priorities have changed and it’s time to move PMI 831 on to a new owner to continue with the restoration. It is now for sale (October 2022) in Waterford.
Delivered to Campile Motor Works in Wexford on the last business day of 1969, PMI 831 is a 1970 model built in late 1969. It subsequently got its Wexford reg in January 1970. The interior is the lovely Brick Red basketweave vinyl, typical to Irish built Havana Brown Beetles of the period.
