LIR 890 was an Offaly registered 1973 Beetle. It was owned by the Patrician College in Ballyfin for quite some time. It was restored around 1991 and my father, Joe Delaney in Mountrath, he bought it in 1992. Around 1996 it went off the road as it developed a bad noise in the engine. It fell into disrepair and was used as a house for pigeons! Emilio’s Beetles acquired it in 2007.
