Info
Here’s a beautiful Beetle that was first registered in Tipperary South back in 1963. It’s Beryl green colour was a wise choice by its first owner and it is one of the most sought after colours on a vintage Beetle these days. The Beetle is in regular use and runs like a dream. Open the door and you are greeted by that familiar VW smell and you just know you’re in a Beetle that has been very well minded by every owner since it left the Naas Road factory in 1963. How funky is the original rear number plate that’s shaped to follow the flow of the engine lid? The original VW logo mudflaps, bumper overriders and thin whitewall tyres really add to this Beetle’s vintage look. The colour coded running board mats have survived well. Who wouldn’t love to open their garage door and see this ’63 sitting there?
I took these photos at Martin Murray’s Eirespares Show in Monard, Co. Tipperary.
