1302 Karmann Beetle Cabriolet

This Karmann Beetle Cabriolet was imported into Ireland by Mattie O’Sullivan of Europa Cars in Blackrock, Dublin on the request of Thelma Mansfield, she of RTE ‘Live at Three’ fame. It was registered in Dublin back in 1985 hence the JZV registration.
Peter Murphy spotted the Karmann Beetle in Moycullen County Galway. Despite its 1303 engine lid badge, this is of course a 1302. It’s wearing a set of EMPI style 8 spoke rims currently but when it was imported into Ireland it had a set of Cosmics fitted. We think it may have had a recent respray but we cannot confirm. It’s looking great and it’s nice to see it still survives and is being enjoyed.
